Mac Metal is excited to announce the addition of a new Amada 6K fiber laser cutting system to its arsenal of laser cutting tools. Equipped with various automation features to ensure speed, quality and accuracy, this high-speed true flying optic laser system is the latest in fiber cutting technology. However the port to the Mac platform was regarded as poorly executed. HoTMetaL went through several incarnations from versions 1 though 6. The Macintosh version survived until at least version 3. Eventually, the product line was discontinued as an HTML editor, although the user interface lives on in XMetaL, a commercial XML editor.

Hot rolled pickled and oiled (P&O) is a product with an enhanced surface finish due to the pickling process. The process of creating hot rolled P&O begins with basic hot rolled steel. To create the enhanced surface finish of hot rolled P&O the hot rolled goes through a pickling process. The pickling process removes the thin layer of oxidized iron (black oxide scale) that forms on the surface of the steel. This is done using acid baths. Once the acid is rinsed and the product is dried oil is applied to prevent the steel from rusting.
